hey everyone, so i’m still pretty new to blackjack and i keep seeing different blackjack tips everywhere. some people say basic strategy is everything, some say bankroll matters more, and some talk about betting systems like they are magic or something.
i’m trying not to overcomplicate it because i’m still learning the basics. right now my main plan is just to use a chart, keep my bets small, and not chase losses. is that good enough for a beginner or am i missing something big?
i guess what confuses me most is that a lot of blackjack tips for beginners sound simple, but then the game moves fast and suddenly i’m not sure what to do. like, if i have 16 against a dealer 10, i know there is probably a chart answer, but it still feels wrong to hit because busting feels so bad lol.
i also see people posting blackjack winning tips, but are those actually real or just people trying to sound smart? i don’t expect to win every time, i just want to stop making dumb mistakes.
so yeah, if anyone has simple blackjack advice that actually helped when you were new, i’d really appreciate it. should i focus only on basic strategy first, or also learn stuff like table rules, splitting, doubling, and bankroll limits at the same time?

I think your plan is already good for a beginner. Basic strategy chart, small bets, and no chasing losses are the correct first steps.
Many blackjack tips online are too dramatic. Blackjack is not solved by feelings or betting systems. The main thing is decision quality. If you learn when to hit, stand, double, and split, you reduce mistakes. That is more useful than changing bet size after every win or loss.
For 16 against dealer 10, yes, it feels bad to hit. But blackjack is not always about choosing a comfortable move. Sometimes the correct move still feels unpleasant. That is why a chart helps so much.
Also check table rules. Blackjack paying 3:2 is much better than 6:5. Dealer hitting soft 17 also matters. These rules change the house edge.
My advice: learn basic strategy first, then learn rules, then bankroll management. Do not rush advanced systems.
yeah ignore most “secret winning tips” stuff lol. if someone says they cracked blackjack with a betting pattern, close the tab

also don’t feel bad about 16 vs 10. everyone hates that hand. it’s ugly. but standing just because busting feels bad doesn’t make it smarter.
