There’s a guy at work who goes to the casino every couple of weeks.
Whenever someone asks him how much he won, he always says, “Enough.”
That’s it.
One day another coworker asked him, “Come on… what’s your secret? How do you actually win?”
He laughed and said, “People ask the wrong question.”
Later that evening I ended up reading about blackjack tips to win because I was curious what people actually recommend.
It was funny how different the advice looked depending on where you read it. One person swore by betting systems, another said they were useless. Some talked about card counting as if anyone could casually do it.
The only thing that kept showing up everywhere was basic strategy and not making emotional decisions.
Now every time someone asks that guy how much he won, I remember that conversation. He still answers, “Enough,” and changes the subject.
