Every time people talk about card counting, they make it sound like keeping the count is the easy part. For me that honestly sounds harder than learning the system itself.
I even googled card counting for beginners, but everything I found was like “here’s the count, now go practice.” Cool… but what if you keep losing the count every few hands?
I’m not talking about an actual memory issue or anything. Just the kind of person who walks into the kitchen and instantly forgets why lol.
Does that get better with reps, or do some people just never get comfortable doing it in a real casino? Curious if anyone here started out like that and eventually got the hang of it.
I’d lose the count, get annoyed, start over… lose it again. After a while I stopped caring about being “perfect” and it actually got easier. Weirdly enough, relaxing helped more than trying harder.
